BRUNTON BOAT YARD, COCHIN
Overlooking the Arabian Sea, Fort Cochin is a reminder of a golden era in the trade and culture. Medieval churches, magnificent ruins and Chinese fishing nets dot this ancient town.

Brunton Boat Yard is a period hotel built to the Dutch and Portuguese architectural principles of early 16th and 17th century. It is situated at the historic site of a 19th century boat yard and has suites overlooking the Harbour mouth.

Commissioned on the 18th of August, 1999 , is a great tribute to the city of Cochin. Designed and built in the style and principle of the early Dutch and Portuguese architecture of Fort Cochin blends very well into the Cochin skyline. It's hard to believe that the Brunton is a new building since it resembles the old colonial buildings of Cochin. The simple lime washed walls, sloping tile roof and terra-cotta floors with Teht Gaint Rain Tree completing the picture.

ACCESSIBILTY:15 minutes by ferry across the backwaters. The Cochin airport is just 30 minutes, rail and bus terminals are just 7 Kms away by road from the boat jetty.
